Thai Wife

Featured Replies

Hi again all ,

Will marry my Thai gf later next year and will live in Thailand with her . Just wondering how her marrying me ( UK national ) affects her rights in Thailand ......rights to buy property , land , get a loan etc . I have heard a few stories , but am quite unsure of this .

Thanks for any shared knowledge .

When you do get married she will still have her rights as a Thai national.

The law has now changed where a Thai could not own land if she married a foreigner. She will still be able to own land and house.

I would imagine that she will be able to get a loan as well, as long as she has a job and wage that will cover the loan.

Good luck with the marraige.
