But by statement perhaps they only wanted you to sign a document that your income was what you put on it? There is no Thai requirement for any proof of income for marriage - only for a document from your Embassy to allow marriage. Income is a question on the paper but needs no proof for Thailand. If you asked Embassy for "proof of income letter" I suspect they are making the extension of stay letter for Immigration rather than the marriage letter.
