Air Finland to fly to Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- The Finnish airline Air Finland is launching flights to Thailand. The low-cost carrier is to fly to Bangkok every Monday during the winter season. Earlier, Air Finland arranged charter flights to Bangkok.

"Bangkok has become one of the most interesting faraway holiday destinations," Air Finland chief executive Mika Helenius says in a press release.

Air Finland flies to Thailand on a 219-seater Boeing 757-200. The technical stop is in Muscat, the capital of Oman.

Air Finland believes it will surpass the 400,000-passenger benchmark this year. In addition to Bangkok, the airline flies to continental Europe and the Canary Islands.
