my friend is due to fly today sat 3rd sept to bkk to make EEA permit for his wife. he is from belfast / uk and has full valid uk passport for another 10 years .but only has his irish passport valid for 6 months. he had to go to dublin ( ireland ) last week to apply for his irish passport but they did not have time to process it as he is flying today so the irish passport office issued him with a temporary 6 months irish passport. bearing in mind that by the time he gets to bkk and makes his visa application at vfs office his irish passport will maybe have only 5 months 2 weeks validity.

is there a chance he could be refused to apply now ? what steps should he take ? any advice much apppreciated . THANKS

he is applying for a visa for his thai wife to come to belfast / uk , eea family permit. should i post this on visa,s to other countries forum ? oops !!

I will move it but that has nothing to do with his Irish passport as he does not require a visa to the UK - only his wife and her, I suspect, Thai passport.
