Currently working in Singapore, about to sail to Angola. Apparently i need a Police Report ( Disclosure Notice ) stating that i am a good chap etc!!! I know in the UK u can go online an pay the fee...an they send it within a week or so. But as i am no longer resident as such.....i have to obtain one in Thailand. I would assume 1st start is at the consulate for guidance....but i just wondered if anyone else has had to obtain this report....an if they could point me in the right direction.

Because he is going to work O&G in Angola and assume he has worked/based in Thailand. The Angolan's lwant a police report from every country you have been in..

That is a bit hard to make out from OP. He seems to say he needs it only because he is not in the UK - no indication he was ever in Thailand or that he needs for any other countries. My crystal ball failed again.

It used to be only a report from your home country ie the OP is from the UK, so all they used to want is one from the UK, but from what I understand now they want from every country you have spent more than 6 months in, why are they doing it ?.....because they can.... .....people complain about dealing with Thai immigration, they are pussy cats compared with some of the African countries as regards "paper work"

I have read the OP's post again and i hope he doesnt think he can get a UK police report through the consulate in BKK, he can't, if non-resident in the UK (no UK address), will need to do it through special branch, (I think) and will be months before he gets it.
