Kinnock
We have a forum for car owners, one for bike enthusiasts, one for photographers, a gay forum and one for IT, but not one to cover some of the most common queries. (The Ladies in Thailand forum was not what I expected). Should we have a forum to discuss Thai wives and girlfriends? There could be a pinned thread for 'Does my GF really love me' and another for 'My wifes annoying habits' and an advice section on how to get your house, car, cash back after a divorce. And to keep things balanced, a thread for the lucky people who have managed to maintain a happy relationship as well as a regular 'readers wives' photo section. Good idea? samran
I think the appropriate title for this new sub-forum should be 'Deer in Headlights' forum. A pinned topic should be 'top 20 tips for clueless gits and the socially inept'
mca
And to keep things balanced, a thread for the lucky people who have managed to maintain a happy relationship Nah because then you'd get some wise sage coming up with " She's biding her time", "They're all the same", " It's all about money", " You can't trust them" etc. because to them their f&ck up of a relationship/marriage failing applies to every single Thai/western relationship in the world. The thing is when I've met westerners who come up with the above quotes and having known the wife/gf in question I'd have to say in their particular case I haven't been in the least bit surprised. They seem to choose a partner with the same attention, consideration and depth of thought with which I'd choose a Cornetto in 7-11.

Latindancer
And to keep things balanced, a thread for the lucky people who have managed to maintain a happy relationship Nah because then you'd get some wise sage coming up with " She's biding her time", "They're all the same", " It's all about money", " You can't trust them" etc. because to them their f&ck up of a relationship/marriage failing applies to every single Thai/western relationship in the world. They seem to choose a partner with the same attention, consideration and depth of thought with which I'd choose a Cornetto in 7-11. I actually choose my ice cream with a little thought.......as to how they are going to affect my health. Many guys don't even do that, when they decide to marry or have a relationship with a bar girl. I think one of the reasons is that they drink too much, so often end up in bars. The drink affects their judgement. Another is that they don't have the perseverance to search for a really nice girl. Though this is changing with internet dating sites. Thai men would usually never consider marrying a bar girl. (Though having said that, some rich bar girls eventually marry poor Isaan men.) I have a successful marriage because I chose my wife very carefully, as she did with me. And we met on a free dating site ! She is gainfully employed and held in high esteem by her workmates. No hot temper, either. My advice to any listening would be to pick a girl who really appeals to you mentally and emotionally, over 28 years old (in other words mentally mature), with education, a good job, who has been disappointed in love (perhaps married before) and therefore seen in Thailand as "used goods". She will respond very well to real love and cherishing. THIS kind of relationship will last. It's a little bit like buying a used Mercedes instead of a new Daihatsu. Bar girls are cheap Daihatsus which will soon fall apart, whilst my Mercedes will keep going for a long time, with a bit of regular maintenance Edited September 9, 2011 by Latindancer

Berkshire
I think the appropriate title for this new sub-forum should be 'Deer in Headlights' forum. A pinned topic should be 'top 20 tips for clueless gits and the socially inept' This could be fun, just trying to think up a title. How about these: I really thought I was a "hansum" man forum. Dating for Dummies forum. How to get butt-f*cked and enjoy it forum. Do you want some cheese with your "whine" forum. How to loose your fortune to a scheming bargirl in 30 days forum. Dating advice for the socially un-gifted forum. No money, no honey forum. There should also be a rebuttal forum for Thai women specifically, to wit; I can't believe he didn't know it was about the money forum. How to say to a farang "Thai men no good" convincingly forum. Yes I took his money but he deserved it forum. Why he never shuts up when I'm watching Thai soapie forum. The more Sin Sod you pay, the more you love me forum. What every Thai girl needs to know about sponsorship forum. And so on....
