tommytouch
HI Does anyone know of any late night money changers / currency exchanges around Sukhumvit, I'm talking after 23:00, maybe 24 hours. I'm sure there are small independent places around Nana, Soi Arab probably (better rates than the banks too). I know hotels will (very) happily do it but I'm not that desperate. Thanks
Nisa
I would think they pretty much work the same hours as banks. Do the ones at the airport even stay open this late? Edited September 10, 2011 by Nisa

BKK Bank and SCB seem to stay open at the international airport. When we pull in on arrival, it's usually about 12 midnight, then another hour or so to go through customs and collect the luggaage. We usually convert a travelers check into baht just to have a little cash on hand before leaving the airport. hiso1956
Go to any large hotel and they will change the $$ no problems. You wont get much of an exchange rate for your $$s

You wont get much of an exchange rate for your $s The OP stated they weren't interested in using a hotel for this service because - as you point out - they charge extortionate rates, but thanks anyway. (I've just split up with my girlfriend and need to change some Nigerian $$.ss)
barryw52
Only change a small amount at the airport then go to http://www.superrichthailand.com/map.html in the morning if you want much better exchange rates. i say the best rates but there are a couple of other place that match this but they less accessable for most tourists.
