Shanghai

Featured Replies

First off sorry if this is the wrong place but there didnt seem elsewhere to post it.

Im planning a visit to Shanghai late November for about 4 nights.

Just wanted to know the must dos when im there, best nightlife area for Bars/clubs & a good hotel not far from the nightlife spots.

Also during the day would like to get out of the city into the countryside & explore any areas to recomend?

Many Thanks :-)

Hangzhou is a nice place to spend a day, a couple of hours by train from Shanghai.

Have not been there in quite a few years so can not say much about nightlife but used to live there and the things I enjoyed:

Yuyuan Garden a must see.

A walk down the Bund - walk/look inside buildings if possible - really nice architecture.

Nice museum in peoples park if you like that sort of thing.

A trip up the Oriental Pearl TV Tower is a great view.

A walk down Nanjing Road during the evening for the lights.

I really enjoyed Shanghai - you should have a good time.

This site has some good info for places to go and things to see:
