September 14, 201114 yr I got a 2x Tourist Visa in Phnom Penh on Jun 30 2011, which indicates I need to entre before Sep 30.2011. The agent in PP told me I can stay up to 6 months if I get each time extended 30 days. I have used the 1st one and had it extended for another 30 days already, hence this 1st visa will be valid till Sep.30, which happened to be the same as the required date of entry. I saw someone on the forum said one needs to use both 2 times TV before the required Entry date. the unused visa will be invalid automaticlly after the date. In this case, my 2nd time visa will be invalid before I even use it! It's either like the agent is not telling the truth, or he got me the visa with wrong validity(should be 6 mths rather than 3!) Does anybody here know the truth? Thanks! Edited September 14, 201114 yr by lopburi3 remove size 6 font
September 14, 201114 yr You must enter before Sep 30 to get a new 60 day stay that you can again extend for 30 days. Both entries must be made before Sep 30 but you can stay on second entry until your permission to stay date (visa does not have to be valid to stay). Just exit return before the 30th to obtain that second entry.

I just got back from UK yesterday and the stamp on my PP shows I need to leave before Sep 30 according to my 1st visa extension. in this case I presume I can't use the 2nd visa directly? and I can still use the 2nd one if I exit and return again without being refused to enter Thailand?
September 14, 201114 yr Just exit and return before the 'enter before' date on the visa and you'll get another 60 days which you can also extend by 30. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

September 14, 201114 yr Author Yes I do have multi re-entry for the 1st visa(as well as extension), which will be expired by Sep 30. That's why when I entered in Thailand yesterday(Sep 13), the pp control officer still use my 1st visa and did't active the 2nd one. seems a border run is unavoidable.
September 14, 201114 yr I read something about a letter from guarantor as a new requirement for TV now, can someone point to me some info about this ?
September 15, 201114 yr I read something about a letter from guarantor as a new requirement for TV now, can someone point to me some info about this ? No such requirement for most nationalities - suspect you heard about tighter local controls on multi tourist visa issue which may require show of accommodation booking and/or flights.

That could be an issue as you should not have two valid visa entry stamps in same passport. They could insist on using that re-entry permit until Sep 30 and thus make your second visa entry invalid. Don't expect they will but it might be mentioned. So yes you need to exit/return before Sep 30 to use the second visa entry. Be sure you enter the visa information on arrival card so they don't just stamp you for the re-entry period.

Thanks! in fact, I did it 2 days ago, I did mention the Visa number, but they still stamp me with the re-entry date. Some one had mentioned a JACK GOLF company who can assist in the border run, but it's for applying for a new one and also for getting a 15 days extension. Anyone know whether their half day border run is also workable for activating my 2nd visa? I did send them email, but no reply. Any other ideas for 1 day border run? Cheers all.
September 15, 201114 yr Yes it can be used to activate a new entry but your problem is that you have a re-entry permit so if they will not ignore that you will only be stamped in for your current permitted to stay.
September 18, 201114 yr Just exit and return before the 'enter before' date on the visa and you'll get another 60 days which you can also extend by 30. If you don't exit and re-enter on or before the "enter by" date you will lose the 2nd entry of your visa no matter what the expiration date of your 30 day extension of the first entry is.
