Koh Samet Best Beach ? Which One Is Your Favorite ?

Koh Samet Best Beach ? Which one is your favorite ? Beach without rocks an with bungalow as close as possible to the sea ?

Hi,

Beside the first overcrowded beach that we see when arriving at Koh Samet, do you know any other one that looks like what we can find in Koh Panghan or any other southern island ?

I don't want rocks in my swimming area and I like my bungalow to be as close as possible to the sea, or even built on the sea if possible :-)

Thank you for your ideas.

Diamond beach (hat sai kaew) is lovely, wasn't to busy when I was there in December last year, a few nice bars and not to loud! lovely white sand also, I haven't been to other beaches on the island but no doubt just as good.

Ao noina has some lovely bungalows I have heard, I'm sure I got handed a leaflet in Samet advertising some lovely beach huts built in the water.

Try google.com jap.gif.

We got a speedboat over about 9pm, we never had to pay the entrance fee to the island as it's also a national park, if you go by normal boat you will arrive at the pier and will have to pay 200 baht (i think) to enter

Ao Wai - almost at the far end of the island from the ferries, no shops so you need to be prepared though there is a restaurant at one resort we saw.

Bungalows 50m from the waterline, set back in the trees.

Pics from Nov last year.

Ao proa is nice and quiet and only 5 mins away from the nightlife by bike or taxi. It is expensive though!

It depends what a you are looking for. If yon want to party I would stay at Sai Kaew, Ao Phai or Ao hin Khok as they are closer to the more popular bars.

If you looking to relax head to the beaches further south apart from Ao Wong Dueng.
