The following consular services will be available:

* Passport renewal applications

* Notarial services

* Embassy registration and/or address change for on-line

information

* Absentee ballot application and voting abroad information

* Social Security, VA or other federal benefits questions

NOTE: Applications for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad cannot be

accepted during consular outreach trips.

The venue and hours of each visit will be announced individually a few

weeks before each date.

This is great news for American expats living in the provinces. Will their local Immigration offices accept income letters that are more than 30 days old? The rumor is that the Immigration office in Chiang Mai won't, but we have the "luxury" of having an American Consulate just down the street where we can go pay 1500 baht to obtain an income letter within 30 days of a retirement visa expiration, so weve never had to test the 30-day rule (if there is one).
