PATTAYA: -- Two ladyboys notified the police being harrassed by a member of the volunteer police who according to the ladyboys conducted an illegal ID-inspection. The two ladyboys resisted and the volunteer police beat them up and stole their mobile phones and 2,000 THB in cash.

Pattaya October 3, 2011[PDN]; Pol. Lt. Col. Pongsawat Wongwan, Pattaya Police was notified by Mr.Pornkaran Suemrum age 27, address: 135 Moo 1 Tambon Koksaard, Nongbuarahaeng, Chaiyaphum and Mr. Paisal Jantok age 37, address 28 Moo 9 Tambon Baannahingon, Amphur Khemmarat, Ubon Ratchathani province. The ladyboys arrived at the police station with facial injuries and asked for police assistance.

Upon investigation two ladyboys revealed that, before the robbery they were sitting near Pattaya beach in Soi 6, Central Pattaya and were approached by a Thai man; Mr. Samran Meeboot who is working for Pattaya volunteer police.
