Floods And Getting To Nonthaburi Immigration

Featured Replies

Anyone know if Nonthaburi Immigration has re-opened, or rather will it be open tomorrow 6th December ?

Thanks

No... The area is still underwater.

According to Khun Duangjina -Nonthaburi Immigration head officer- they will stay in Suan Phlu until the end of the year.

Thanks

Remember reading they opened a temp office at a PTT station ? somewhere near the driving test/licence centre in Nonthaburi.. guess that got flooded as well ?

The PTT Station was only for 90 day reporting nothing else!

"I would want to confirm that if visit scheduled after December 9 as all Bangkok officers are returning to Chiang Watanna effective December 13."

I'm not sure if this is a question or a statement. Bangkok area immigration may well move back to Chaengwattana, but from conversations I've had with 2 Nonthaburi IOs, they are staying put at Suan Plu until the office at Nonthaburi is dried out and cleaned up.

That may well be; but I would suggest checking before making the trip after the 9th just to be sure. Even if they do not return to Chiang Watanna how else will they know when normal office is cleaned up and they have returned there? Things have not exactly followed any script or timetable.
