SaamBaht
Our nanny up and split on us. With both mom and pops working, we are in a bit of a crisis. How do other folks find good nannies? We have put the word out but have found the pickings slim. What has been your experience with finding a good nanny?

SaamBaht
I'm in Khon Kaen. We have a young child and we'd like to have a live in nanny who could pick up the slack on laundry and light cleaning when not watching our son.

jamescollister
No shortage of Aunts , old cousins and neighbors round here. The wife only refused one, The second uncle, some kind of police chief in Ubon wanted to leave his 19 year old Lao girlfriend here. Ended up with a 50 year old spinster aunt. SaamBaht
No aunts, cousins, mother in laws available but we are still looking. I find it very surprising how difficult it is to find a nanny/maid here. Thanks for all the replies.
SantiSuk
I have got the impression that it's loss of face to have another woman doing stuff in the home in Issaan, or something like that. Result - I end up doing lots of housekeeping myself . No demand = lack of supply.
