I've lived in bkk for 3 years and know it quite well but I wouldn't have the slightest idea to where I could fine one of these electronic measures? Does anyone know a good place to start looking?I can't post a link right now but if you go to amazon it's called Zircon Ultrasonic Measure with Laser Targeting

A few days ago when I read this post I went to the Zircon website and used the contact us and asked the question if this product was available in LOS. A day later I got a reply asking if I need one or several and was I interested as a supplier or a consumer. Clearly Zircon was looking to sell product here. I replied I only was interested as a consumer. I suggested the sales rep to contact TrueValue Hardware Thailand as they do not seem to carry this product locally. A day later I got another email reply from the sales rep at Zircon,,,,,,,,,,,the following is from the email:

Dear XXX,

Thank you for your response and clarification of your interest.

Our record shows that True Value has purchased some units this year, but it seems that the orders came directly from stores who might have customers specifically requesting the product, instead of their warehouses or distribution centers. I am not sure of exact workings of the True Value (TruServ) distribution network overseas, but your local TruServ store may be able to special order it for you. If not, we are more than happy to work with you and make any necessarily arrangement to sell and ship a unit to you.

Please note that, if you place an order directly with us, we will need to charge you for shipping at cost (we do not make any sale off the shipping charge). I have had orders/requests from customers in other countries, and this type of shipping typically is quite expensive, especially when there is only a unit or two in the shipment. Ordering through your local store may potentially reduce the shipping if they can bundle the order with other items, though it may take longer.
