Thai Language Programs

Featured Replies

Hi

I have ordered the Rosetta Stone Thai language program.

Has any other person tried it out and is it worth the money , I hope it is because i send for it by mail.

thx in advance

I used it and liked it. The lack of any translation is a positive - it means you learn the language by associating an image with a sound, pretty much the same way as you do with your first language, and you don't get hung up on trying to make literal sense of grammar and syntax which follow different rules to that of English. You'll need someone to help you learn the alphabet and reading rules though to make the best of the script.

Good luck with it.

It's all memorization and repetition. I think that's important in language learning, if not terribly fun.

I think "any" learning tool is fine. The problem most people have is finding something you stick with.

If I had a nickel for every Thai language book/cd/dvd....well, I'd have a lot of nickels!

it s worth 150 baht. i more than half way through it now. i do the lesson and then print it off and read it the next day, so it s a good reading exercise as well. it s one more angle you can add to your language learning approach, so why not. i like it.
