Bangkok To Kanchanaburi - Flood Problems

Featured Replies

In light of the current flooding problems being experienced, does anyone know whether road, bus and/or train travel between Bangkok and Kanchanaburi is affected?

Is there any official website that provides national and local travel information (in English)?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

..as of Midnight last night 12/10 evacuations had commenced northern outskirts of Bangkok.

I got this information from the Transportation Information Centre that has been set up at Chiang Mai Airport courtesy of AOT.

They have a four hourly update service. There are also contact numbers in one of the attachments for CNX and BKK.

For yous information

I drove BKK to Kan yesterday afternoon. All clear apart from a few puddles in the left lane on occasion but did not impede traffic in any way. Kan town completely flood free.

Thanks for the replies.

Hopefully the worst is nearly over and normal services will soon be resumed.

Good to know that the route is not too badly affected and thanks also for the links to the situation update services available.

Much appreciated.
