I remember seeing something here about the grandfathering of visa requirements.

Will I be able to renew my retirement visa or get a marriage visa next august using the same requirements as have been in effect the last few times I have renewed my visa or will the new rules apply to renewal as well as getting a new visa,,I do not understand it,altho I do know what grandfather rules mean,will they apply to visa's?
