90 Day Non-Imm O Border Crossing From Nakhon Sawan While Floods Block Roads?

Featured Replies

I live 100klm north-west of Nakhon Sawan until about a year ago i used the Myanmar Friendship Bridge crossing at Mae Sot every 90 days, but this was closed for some reason,so i have been using the visa run trips from Pattaya. With all the floodings are there any plans to open the Mae Sot crossing again which would lesson the trafic trying to use the flooded highways to do the Manditory 90 Day crossings or 90 Day Reports at Immigration offices,or maybe The Thai Immigaration might stop the over-stay charges on these visas until the flood waters have gone down which again would clear the roads and highways for the Much Needed Aid to reach the People Of Thailand. I am sorry to bore you but which is the nearest border crossing to Nakhon Sawan? Thank You NigelNuch.

Mae Sod is still closed and there are no signs Myanmar will open it soon.

As far as I'm aware, there is no problem using the border run companies from pattaya or BKK, but reaching BKK can be trouble. The only alternative would be to travel North to Mai Sai and go over the border there. But that would be at least 8 to 9 hours, more if you travel with public transport.
