Featured Replies

Just quick note, Me and the Thai wife are heading up to the family in Surin Nth east Thailand, Normally we catch a train just wondering is the train services operatting Nth east? Thanks

No offense but i would recommend that your wife call the train station and ask. Then you will get a definite answer. :)

Yes the service is operating as normal all the way up to Nong Khai.

Umm, Surin is not on the Nong Khai line. it is on the Ubon .line. To the best of my knowledge ,there is no problem getting a train to Surin.

We arrive in 2 weeks in Thailand so hope the water has gone , i heard hear in Australia on the news they said another Typhoon was going to hit Thailand next week? What more do i need for a month in Thailand, Maybe i should bring my jetski ... Cheers..

^ Thailand has had only one freak typhoon in the last 30-odd years (Typhoon Gay in 1989) so I would doubt that the forecast you quote is any way accurate. Thailand is south of 'typhoon alley'. Taiwan maybe?

What may cause problems in Thailand are the remnants of these typhoons and other tropical disturbances that suck up the water over the sea then move onshore, become a depression and piss down rain for days on end. That was what happened in 2006 when Typhoon Xangsane dumped it's guts in the northeast after coming in over Vietnam and Laos.
