Hello all,

New to the forums here and kind of have an urgent couple questions.

I am Canadian and my tourist visa runs out on the 25th (got 60 day +30 day extension). I had to send my passport back to Canada because it expired in May and I am over in Bangkok visiting my fiancee until she finishes up her teaching contract (july 2012). I am picking up my passport today and need to rush to get a new visa before next tuesday.I am incredibly new to these visa run options and all the posts make the process seem intimidating. I was going to just do the run with Jack Golf, but when I called today they said that they were not longer offering the run because it causes too many complications. Can anyone suggest a timely option for me to get a new tourist visa? Im leaning more towards a service option because I am not an experienced traveler and trying to figure out everything on my own right now is daunting. Im thinking a double entry would make the most sense since im here till next year but I have read that they often get turned down? Also I don't have any kind of paper work showing an exit ticket, or hotel booking information and I have also read that these are nessesary to get a visa now?

I know its a lot of mixed up questions, but im incredibly nervous about this process and if anyone can take the time to help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

As a follow up question, if anybody knows the answer, my fiancee is teaching over here and has a work visa. Is there any chance we could simply get married over here and I can be claimed on her visa as a significant other or dependent? Not sure how that system works.

After marriage you could obtain a non immigrant O visa and if she is on one year extensions of stay a matching extension of stay.

Vientiane is about the only option for two entry tourist visa and even there it is not for sure with previous visas. It is easy enough - you visit consulate/submit paperwork and return next day to pick-up. Do not believe there is any current service running as not a sure thing and transportation disrupted with flooding.
