randymarsh
Hi, I've got return flights from UK to KL. Will be spending maybe 20 days in Thailand. I might fly from KL into Thailand but get back to KL by land. Or I might go from KL to Thailand by land and fly back from Thailand to KL. Do I need to get a visa? Thanks
beechguy
If entering by air, you may be eligible(your nationaliy?) for a visa exempt entry of 30 days, if entering by a land crossing you would be stamped permitted to stay for 15 days. randymarsh
I'm English. So I should just make sure I fly in? Hoping they won't check for outgoing flight? Although what will happen at the border if leaving by land?

I've never had a problem when traveling within the region, but if you want to stay more than 15 days without a border run, I would consider flying in. Maestro
Thai immigration will not check for your onward flight when you arrive in Thailand, but the airline may verify it when you when you check in for your flight to Thailand.
