I have to make my 90 day report at the Samut Prakan Immigration office next week, and obtain a re-entry permit. The office is right by the river, on the waterfront. Does anyone know if it's still open? Has it been flooded yet?

Last I noticed from there is everything much dryer than normal. But with Bangkok draining water through city that could change.

Agreed, My wife is at salagland right now getting my son's ID card, so the Government offices are open.

Like Lopburi3 suggests, this might change with the water being drained through, so as you can report 7 days before your reporting date it might be better to go to the Immigration office as soon as possible and get it out of the way.

Regards,

Tiger.

Actually all should accept up to 15 days early under current policy from Bangkok I believe.

15 days before and 7 days after the reporting date.

As of 21-OCT-2011, the Samut Prakarn immigration place was completely dry, and the Chao Praya river level was not so high.

I did not ask, but they did not seem in any hurry to move to upper floor or other location.

Service has much improved there.

Thanks, What with the talk of impending doom I decided to go in on Friday afternoon. As singa-traz says it was dry and surprisingly empty. I was in and out for my 90 day report and my re-entry permit in under 15 minutes. The river looked about as high as I've ever seen it though.
