Where To Buy Potable Water In Pattaya

Reverse osmosis machines. 1B/ltr.

The water is fine.

Trouble with RO is that it makes the water acidic, unless you add minerals back into it it is actually bad for your health over a long period!

Better than drinking sewage water though!

Do you have technical source which shows that RO turns water acidic as cant see how this would happen, stripping minerals is possible which would changes a slightly alkalis water back towards a PH of 7.0 (neutral) but this is not the same as making some acidic

My understanding is that RO treatment, removes all the healthy minerals from the water (which also gives spring water its taste) along with the contaminants. These same minerals are also found naturally at fixed percentages in the human bloodstream.

The problem is if one drinks RO "demineralized" water, you dilute the percentage of the minerals in your bloodstream and to maintain the balance, the body draws them out of the bones thereby weakening them (they leach out). Thus occurs only with long-term consumption of RO water...not short-term use during a crisis.

Ok....but this still doesnt suport the statement that RO turns the water acidic....minerals in water ie carbonates etc will turn the water some what alkalis, but removal of said minerals would move the PH of the water towards neutral....ie a PH of 7.0, not acidic ie less than a PH of 7.0....go and measure the PH of deminned water you use in a car battery or similar...this is neutral ie PH of 7.0

I may be sounding pedantic on this, but someone has made a statement which appears incorrect

Reverse osmosis, also, by removing alkaline mineral constituents of water, produces acidic water. Acidic water can be dangerous to the body system, causing calcium and other essential minerals to be stripped from bones and teeth in order to neutralize its acidity. Trace elements of minerals were intended to be in water; their removal leaves tasteless, unhealthy drinking water"

Most people are far too acidic, due to diet etc, many would say that drinking water should be in the range of 7.5 (same as blood) to be most beneficial, look at the PH of RO water that you buy, if it has it on! usually it is <7, which would be fine if your body was alkaline already, many illnesses s can be traced back to a system that is too acidic, very, very rare for anyone to be alkaline!
