Which Visa Am I Entitled To Apply For?

Featured Replies

I am a UK Passport Holder currently staying in Phuket.

I have been here for almost 90 days on a 'Single Entry Non Immigration Educational Visa' which expires on October 29th.

Ideally, I would like to extend my stay in Phuket for as long as possible, up to a further 3-6 months (depending on funds, etc).

I have plans to travel from Phuket to Penang, Malaysia via Bus in order to attain a new visa.

Which Visa will I be entitled to apply for?

Some people are saying I can only apply for a '15 Day Stamp'.

Others are saying it is possible to apply for a 'Single Entry Tourist Visa' (60 Days, extendable by a further 30)

Can someone clarify exactly what I am entitled to apply for whilst in Malaysia, and my chances of applying for such a Visa at the present time, please, as I am getting conflicting advice left, right and centre?

You most likely will be able to receive a single entry tourist visa in Penang.

With no previous tourist visas in your passport you'll get a single entry tourist visa in Penang.

60 days extendible by 30 days at immigrations.
