Applying For Extension

Featured Replies

I have never been in Asia before. I have a one-entry visa which I got in London. Now I understand that promptly on arrival, if I want an extension for a further 30 days, I must apply for it at an address they give in Bangkok.

With the flood disaster in mind, and to keep all of my options open, can I apply in another city? Pattaya for example. Thanks- S.

It seems you want to apply for a 30 day extension on a tourist visa entry. You cannnot do that right away, doit in the last two weeks or so of your original 60 days. (You will need to provide a passport photo).

You can apply at any immigration office, so Pattaya will be fine.

Have a nice holiday.

Hello and thank you, it looks like I misunderstood at the Consulate. And so just to make sure I understand now, the tourist visa with a single entry is automatically a 60 limit (absent an extension) ? Thanks again- S.

A Tourist Visa gives a stay of 60 days and can be extended at any Immigration office by another 30 days for a fee of 1,900Baht.

Passport size photo needed.
