Hi,

Does anyone know if the embassy will accept my bank statements that have been copied, or will they only accept the originals? This is for a UKTV for my Thai national GF.

Kind regards

When you get Thai bank statements translated, do you have to get every page translated, or will the first page with the name and address do? Six months worth of bank statements amounts to a lot of pages!

I printed mine from the Internet for my Thai Wife to put with her application ( which has just been approved ), i think they accept almost any official documents for banks now as most people bank online.

They do ask for original documents but don't seem to have a problem with statements printed via Internet banking. ECO's do live in the real world, I suspect they use Internet banking themselves.

They can, and do, check the authenticity of documents submitted, if documents are found to be false then the the application will be refused and the applicant liable for a ten year ban.
