Thai Law And ' Villages '

Featured Replies

Much has been detailed on this forum with respect to the Thai Law and Condominiums.

What about the Thai Law and 'Villages'

Ie Housing Estates that have common land and common facilities (club house-swimming pool etc.)

Does similar legislation exist?

Any one got any details?

I have also searched for this information but came up empty handed. In addition to OP's question I like to know the definition of such legislated Moo Baans if there is one.

  • 5 months later...

Same laws for 'common property' as condos, I believe the law related to condos was derived from the community law on moobahns.

I tried to set up something in 2007 for the compound i live in but failed.

spend quite a lot of energy. (and money)

More or less you have to make the regulations, then go to land department with developer of the compound, and sign over common parts to a 'juristic person' If there is any 'Bond' the developer placed with the land department in the past, the new juristic person will get it.

Land department can guide you and eventually point you to a lawyer to help out.

I published my data on the internet, can give you the ref links by PM if you want, PM me for this.
