Telecommunications Issues

Hi, am after some help/information. I am currently in Brisbane and my partner left Bangkok yesterday and is now just outside of Khorat. For the past few day's I have been trying to telephone her on her mobile without much luck. I sometimes get through and can speak with her and other times I cannot get a connection. Is anyone having the same issues/problems that I am having. I hope to be in Bangkok in the next few week's.

Brisbane recently had floods which impacted on most of the state, nothing like what's going on in Thailand, so I know what and how people must be going through at the moment. There are still many people that have not been able to have their homes repaired and able to move into them and it's been 9 month's since we had our floods, with more predicted over the summer time here.
