Do you have a link to where I can read this on the International site ?

The text of it is the opening post of this thread, but it's something about winter news on the site.

I found the information in the end.

Things change quickly though. This morning TG confirmed that they will be using an Airbus 330 to fly from LHR to BKK from 16 January. This apparently is something to do with the floods, though what exactly I don't know. Anyway good news for me as I booked our trip for £606 each on a newer aircraft with AVOD in economy. Unless they change again, of course.

I just had a look. It's actually the A340-600 flying that route. I flew on one the last time they did that and it made a nice change. The 747 cabins have just been refurbished completely in economy, so I'm not sure there's much benefit to the passenger in this.

The only benefit of using Thai, BA or EVA is the non stop flight.

I prefer to stretch my legs half way in any case. In every other respect the middle east carriers are superior.
