Don Muang is already lost./via@thanongK So far Govt has not attempted to shift water to the eastern part of BKK at all. Water keeps piling up in Pathum and N. BKK./via@thanongK But Khlong Saen Sap's levels are not the same all the way -- overflows through the embankment are certain to occur./via@thanongK That's why BMA has warned that if Khlong Sam Wa's gate were to be open -- even by one metre -- all districts in BKK would be inundated./via@thanongK Before this BMA assured that at least 19 districts would be safe from the floods. Lite Beer Posted November 1, 2011 Share Posted November 1, 2011 Floods pushed up CPI by 4.19% in Oct Petchanet Pratruangkrai The Nation Thai consumer price index increased by 4.19 percent year on year last month, rising largely due to floods damaged farm production and manufacturing sector, according to the Commerce Ministry reports today. Inflation in the first 10 months of this year rose 3.79 percent, higher than the annual targeted at 3.2-3.7 percent. The ministry permanent secretary Yanyong Phuangrach said the annual inflation will grow higher than the previous expected to 3.8 percent this year due to severe impact from flooding caused higher foods and goods price. Jurin said about 30 opposition MPs wanted to debate on the flood situation so the opposition whips would convene a meeting at 11 am on Wednesday to define the framework for the debate, which would start in the afternoon. Pol Col Suchart Wongananchai, the director-general of the Corrections Department, said the inmates were sent to help the Public Works and Town and Country Planning Department repair 4-kilometre-long embankment of the Waterworks Canal in Ban Nawong area.
