I'm planning to apply for a visa this week in Sawhan Naket. (Laos)

Does anybody know if the Thai consulate is open on Loi Krathong? Is it open on all weekdays this week?

10 November is a municipal holiday in Vientiane, The That Luang Festival. It is not a national holiday, only a municipal holiday. You should call the loas consulate to confirm that they will be open if 10 November is the day that you intend to go..

Thanks a lot so far. I really forgot something very important. I'm changing schools, so I'll have to come with a new visa as ii's in the neighboring province.

Is the 'letter of employment, plus contract in Thai and English enough for the three month sticker?

Of course photographs as well. Anything else? Who's has been there just recently.

Is it the TM7 we've got to fill out? Could I already fill it in online and print it out?

Has anybody ever 'lost' a Laos or Cambodia sticker by accident? I mean the PP isn't really full, but.....Thanks, Bedankt, Danke...Merci....
