I have developed an eye floater in my right eye which is driving me crazy.

I understand that surgery for this fairly common complaint is risky, but that laser treatment can be quite successful, without risk.

I have been trying to locate an eye clinic/hospital in Bangkok and in Thailand in general on the net, but cannot seem to find one.

Can anybody assist me with this search?

With thanks,

Considering that you've started this new thread in the "I drink too much forum" you've started off your search pretty badly. Do you really want a bunch of drunks giving you advice on eye surgery?? :-)

Just teasing..........I'm sure that Sheryl will be along soon to move this thread to the right place. I must admit that I was really curious as to what the thread might have to do with drinking too much. Best of luck with the eye problem!

Thanks James, nice to know. They are a bugger, agree?

Has yours gone totally?

Graham --- Oops, first time I've started a thread. Cheers anyhow.

Tried Rutnin Jd, they do the surgery but not laser.

I would be grateful if the mods could re-locate this to the right place.

Cheers all.

Roy.

I am not sure surgery of any type would be required but it should be checked. The times I have had such garbage it has settled over time (or brain cancels it out). So a check by good Opthamologist would be in order before thinking surgery of any type I would expect.

No diabetes Nignoy, been checked out.

Re: Above.

It can actually be removed by laser. My brother-in-law had that treament and it was painless, brief and successful.

It had to be private as it is not done this way by our famed NHS and was , of course, expensive.

I would handle the expense, but the other problem is that there are few clinics here in UK that do it. None near me.

With the travelling involved, and you need somebody to bring you back afterwards, it seemed a lot of trouble.

As I come to Bkk soon, it makes sense for me to try to get it there. A probable saving as well.

Cheers.

I'd start here: http://www.rutnin.com/eng/

beech . yes mine has cleared up 95/.after 3 months it taks time .and laser surgery whick is painless. just dont try and drive after the surgery for a day . as the eye weeps. it cost me 1200 aussie dollars and i got 400 back from the medicare rebate, private health funds will not cover it in australia ,because it is not done in hospital but in the specialists rooms .james

Did you go to Rutnin James?

No, stupid me. Donk! Aussie dollars etc.

I emailed them and they said that they did not do it. Admittedly, I was surprised as it is Bkk's leading eye hospital and not far from my Bkk apartment as well

Would have been ideal.

I am grateful for your encouraging words

Thanks,

Roy
