A friend just sent me crucial information of Irrigation Dept about water pumping capacity. You would not believe it.

The information compared the water pumping capacities between the water pump stations in Tha Chin River and Chao Phya River.

As of Oct 26, 2011, there were 31 water pump stations in Tha Chin, compared with 22 in Chao Phya.

We all know that the small guy from Suphan Buri is in charge of Tha Chin.

At Tha Chin there were 127 water pumps, compared with 44 for Chao Phya.

Drainage capacity at Tha Chin was 16.10 million cubic metres a day compared with 2.82 million cubic metres a day.

Last week BMA Governor Sukhumbhand complained that he sent 4 letters asking for water pumps from Irrigation Dept, but to no avail.

Why is it that Chao Phya, which will be draining most of the floods into sea, is equipped with less water pumps than Tha Chin?

Suphan Buri has stolen most of the water pumps from Irrigation Dept to serve its territories.

The director-general of the Irrigation Dept has to bow to political pressure on the distribution of water pumps.

If there were not enough water pumps, why didn't the government seek help from overseas or order new ones?

Requests for assistance from China, Japan, South Korea came at last minute.

It is simply a mathematical game. Can water pumps in Bangchan, Lad Krabang and Suvarnabhumi work faster than the incoming tides from water gates 3-4?

They are protecting Suvarnabhumi like the last days of Ayutthaya.
