Is that true that bars on soi Dianna Inn opened until early morning? For almost 3 weeks UP2U bar having customers untill 5 am. Nice place away from Walking Street, ecpecially when every other bar is closed aside from Soi 7 and 8. Anyone been there?

No. Im sure this is a mellicious rumor. Im also sure that all bars are abiding by the law and closing at 1.00am.

Now if common sense was to prevail and the mib were to show some leniency, and turn a blind eye to some after hours trading im sure it would be appreciated by all, and should not be advertised on this forum.

and heres a new one( or is it new ) happened to me last night , check bin , lady goes to bar comes back 420 baht hands her 1000 , had to wait a little longer than normal back she comes with tray and in it is 420 baht , iam just about to take the money and go when i realise i should be getting 580 baht , its a good one , wonder how long that one has been used ,

Now you know why the Thai very carefully scrutinize the bill then count their change with the unmost care!

The best one is where the bill comes to 420,you hand over 1k and they return with 80.. not even a second After questioning this blatent scam a pretty little thing arrives with the 500 they tried to steal from you...Of course she has an "oh my mistake silly me" look painted all over her boat race..

And that happens regular if your face is not known !! A neat trick is just to put a sharp fold in the 1k note then tell them to look for it

shark bar soi zero is open most nights to 5am, very busy at this time too, karioke, pool, food, lots of thai girls that finish work and go there.

The Thai edcucation system leaves a lot to be desired but a bar giving too much change? It'll be a cold day down below when that happens

You always hear of guys getting ripped off and very few about the honest John (not the Howard type ) types who will inform the bar of errors in the customers favour. I was at Nuis old bar once and the bill came.....it was wrong but to my favour for over a 100 baht. I didnt tell them it was over change just that the bill was wrong, to see if they could work it out. The poor souls were more concerned that they had ripped me off that they didnt consider that it could have been the exact opposite, anyway after about 5 mins of frantic calculator work I finally showed them the error....

Result....a free beer and many gratitudes and a life long friend in Nui.
