HalfSquat
Just doing a visa run via air with a one day turnaround and after being quizzed by the guy at the airport (non-Thailand) what I was doing it did give me a feeling of trying to gatecrash a party I wasn't invited to and am not welcome at. Do the visa rules ever get you down? I know I could like it or lump it but it all seems so random and unnecessary. Whinge over.
loveulongtime
If they changed the visa run rules, alot of people would go out of business.... plus the bar girls wouldnt be able to get new boyfriends so quickly.... Sure its painful, but it suits Thailand and white-folk are at the bottom of the food chain. Edited November 20, 2011 by loveulongtime
Ulysses G.
Most of us feel lucky to be able to stay here full time and the visa rules are a drag, but easier than most countries and IMHO well worth putting up with as long as they don't throw us out completely. billd766
I play the game by Thai rules and I haven't been out of the country in nearly 2 1/2 years and I have always felt welcome in Thailand. Perhaps it is the rose coloured spectacles I wear and the fact that I am polite and cause no hassles. Nahhh it couldn't be that simple now, could it?
