What Does It Mean In Thai ? A Mysterious Note From My Classmate

Featured Replies

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone here knows Thai and could translate for me this short note ? One pretty Thai classmate wrote this for me to keep me. Please let me know.<br style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 16px; ">The link to the note is here <br style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 16px; ">

Thank you,

Sebastian

"Hello my name is .......... krap

SEBASTIAN

Very cute (or funny).....

Thank you

a good friend who knows you

see you again

you are cute"

Translation could change a little if you provide more context.

Is she a pretty boy? The pronoun used is pom.

Good point really - everything in the Note is written as if by, or from, a man.

I assumed the note was instructions to Sebastian explaining how he should tell people his, Sebastian's, name plus a couple of other phrases.

i.e. that she's telling him to say "my name is Sebastian (krap)" and "thank you (krap)" etc. etc..

As I said the context in which the note was written is not really clear.

I know her a little bit, but only from the school. She is a little bit shy. I dont really know what she tried to say by this note but she left me it.

But lol I hope she is not a boy because she is very pretty :D

PS: Thank you guys for your time. I truly appreciate your translations and effort.

Next ime you see her start the conversation in the note. You may be surprised where it leads.

Sebastian

Hello, my name is______.

Sebastian

You're so funny.

Thanks!

Nice to know you.

See you again.

You're so cute.

I think you might be in there.

Ask her out on a date &lt;deleted&gt;!

You're right - misread the first word!

I'm not at all so sure.

As said previously everything ends in "krap" so it's not a "love note" from a woman, I believe it's just a list of Thai phrases she wrote out for Sebastian to use himself in conversations.

I have noticed many Thais write the Yor Yak this way.

Not everything ends in ครับ, but that's not to say a woman can't use the word ครับ. Or maybe it is the case that those phrases that do end in ครับ are meant for Sebastian's use.

However, I know if a pretty girl was passing me notes with ตลกจัง and คุณน่ารักจัง on it, what my plan of action would be :whistling:

Broom cupboard?

If it is "instructions" of phrases for you to use, why not try to use the last phrase on her...

My thinking is that if it were written as a love note by a katoey, she surely would have used kah rather than krahp.
