PATTAYA: -- An Australian resident reported the theft of money and other valuables from his rented room in Central Pattaya, late on Monday Night at Pattaya Police Station. Mr. Paul Kirkland aged 51 told Police he returned home on Monday Night to his rented apartment in Soi 3 off Central Pattaya Road to find his room safe had been opened. Inside was 2,500 Australian Dollars and 11,000 Thai Baht along with his Passport and other important documents

Bank safes are a little bigger than your average room safe...but glad you're so cashed-up that you consider AUS$ 2500 a trivial amount B)
