Jai Dee Posted November 21, 2005 Share Posted November 21, 2005 NAKHON RATCHASIMA TO SET UP FOUR ETHANOL PLANTS IN 2006 Nakhon Ratchasima (นครราชสีมา) province will establish four ethanol plants in the year 2006 and will be able to bring them to operation in 2007. The provincial Governor Somboon Ngamlak(สมบูรณ์ งามลักษณ์) revealed that the province has acquired permission from the Bio-Fuel Development and Promotion Committee, to establish five ethanol plants. However, one of the plants is already in existence and has been relocated to Prachinburi (ปราจีนบุรี) province. He added that the four new plants will be able to produce 25 per cent of the country's total ethanol production. The related entrepreneurs have asked for permission to establish the plants and are waiting for an approval from the Department of Industrial Works. The governor reassured that construction of the plants will begin next year and they will be able to run commercially by 2007, which is the deadline set by the government.
