Ah, good point. If so, the U.S. bank probably has "Bill Pay" or some such service, often free. I use this at two banks to pay the occasional bill. Can also be mailed from the U.S. account to a street address, rather than to an account.

You can also use dwolla.com if the recipient company agrees to set up an account. Cost 25 cents to each party.

Have a relative send them a check or postal money order and then catch up with them next time you are back home or at least that will buy you a bit of time to sort it all out between a relative.

Call them on 004 @ 3-4B per minute and give them your debit/cc card over the phone.

Tell them to get serious! You are going to get there account number when they cash the check. Why not just hand it over now and get paid immediately?
