I do computer graphic and web based work, and all of it happens via the web. I am hoping to move to Thailand for a year or two around the end of this year.

I have a regular client with whom I have a guarenteed monthly contract of around 120k baht, as well as additional freelance work. The regular client and I are both Australian, as is the majority of freelance work I do.

Is there any type of visa which could accomodate for this situation?

Thanks for any suggestions.

you won't be working in Thailand

not married to a thai

not an investor

not of retirement age

never bought that stupid elite card

so you have to get a tourist visa with as many entries possible.

huski, yeah, that's kind of what I thought. Shame though. I was originally thinking I could get a work visa if i registered a business there, and paid tax in Thailand. Seems like way too much hassle though (I hate paperwork).

dr pat pong, Sydney and 34. Been doing the graphics work for about ten years now, thinking of a change in scenery for a while, and the climbing around Krabi rocks. What's age got to do with it? I've never heard of a working holiday type deal, like we have with the poms.

mattnich, sorry dude, the main contract is a firm I used to work for, and the work tends to be pretty technical, so needs a few years of experience with on-line casino work. the other stuff is mainly flash games, and the more I get of that, the happier I'll be. I could actually do twice the work I do now, it's just a case of finding the people that will pay.
