I have a work permit expiring in march 2012 however my Non Imm B visa (single entry) expires in Feb 2012 , is it possible to get an extension on the visa for one month to align with the WP ? ideas suggestions gratefully accepted , i live in Phuket ....

Yes, with the correct paperwork you can extend the visa to March. Cost 1900 baht.

Yes, with the correct paperwork you can extend the visa to March. Cost 1900 baht.

You cannot extend your non immigrant B visa for just one month, but you can extend it for one year on the basis of employment in the Kingdom of Thailand.

In Phuket it's pretty tough to get one of these extensions; your paperwork needs to be perfect, plus not all employers meet Immigration's criteriae.

Yes, the extension that he applies for is one year and he needs all of the paperwork. If his contract expires at the end March and he does not have a contract that extends his employment for the entire year then immigration will/might give him an extension to the expriation date of his current contract/ WP for 1900 baht. I guess that it depends on the office where you apply since I had a friend get a 2 month extension last February in Korat. He app;ied for a 1 year extension but since his contract/WP expired at the end of April, they only gave him a extension to the expiration date of his contract/WP.
