Visa From Birminham Or Hull Better

Featured Replies

My girl friend from England wants to visit for a stay  She's asking if Brums ok to issue the visa's, tourist type.

Got mine in Hull as was working up there, so no idea how efficient Birmingham are or if they do them.

Suppose it will all be shopping trips and site seeing for next 6months, dam_n, still shes well off so may be okay

Both will issue Tourist Visas. Apply by post is easy.

As can Cardiff, by post or in person.

If you just go in they will do one while you wait. Take's about 20 Min: Just take two photo's they have all the form's.

Have not seen anyone complain on Thai Visa about efficiency or time taken at any of the Thai consulates in UK, so I suspect it makes little difference unless you live close to one and can pop in.

Hull is return of special delivery post, send monday get back wednesday,

Hull took 3 weeks to return mine before was 2 days, they said they where very busy and returned them just before they where needed instead of next day, I thought this a bit weird tbh but I did get it

must be something new, i have in the past received by return post, but i normally go in person as i only live an hours drive, and try to fit it in with some other business in the area.

I usually get my visa from Cardiff - if you want to go in person make sure you call them first to make an appointment, they are efficient and very friendly

Birmingham, I got a visa a few years back from Birmingham as I was passing through and it was convenient. The office is about 5 mins walk from New Street Station and I had the visa within 10 mins.

Hull, I got my first O visa here and I had the passport back the day after I sent it, but that was quite a while ago, a friend has just used them and it took 5 days for the passport to come back.

My advice, give them (whoever you want to use) a call first and they will advise you the current turnarounds.
