90 Day Check-In

Featured Replies

Just in case anyone was curious, I figured I'd post my experience from today. For various reasons, the biggest being laziness, forgetfulness, apathy, I hadn't done a 90 day check in since I came back from Christmas dec 29 2010.

I also had no arrival/departure card from the passport. (had lost it at US embassy when I had to get a new passport as mine had expired this year)

So when I went to Chamchuri immigration today (figured I needed to take care of this before leaving for the US in a week) I was expecting the worst.

But in the end (after going to several counters), I only had to paythe standard late fee of 2000 baht. They didn't even ask for proof of residence. They did take extra time trying to figure out what to do with me lacking a departure card, and they did need to check my old passport.

So in case anyone was wondering what would happen if they didn't check in for months and months; apparently it's still 2000 baht. your experience may vary, TiT
