How Early Can You Extend A Tourist Visa?

Apologies if this has been covered before. I have a tourist visa that expires on January 5. I would rather not wait until then to extend it for thirty days. Can anyone tell me how far in advance I can do the extension? Thanks very much.

I believe people usually apply during the last 30 days and see no reason why an immigration office should not deal with your application already now.

There is no rule and it is up to immigration you are visiting.

If they are very busy, they can tell you come later..
