hi guys - was hoping i could get some advice....

can anyone tell me what are currently the best methods for transferring a large sum of cash from thailand to a swedish bank account?

i browsed this site - http://www.fxcompared.com/money-transfers/sweden.php - but the rates dont seem so good, even though it is comparing lots of sites

are the thai banks a better bet you think? do you need to have an account with the bank, or can one simply pick the bank that offers the best transfer rate and walk in with the cash???

I was under the impression that it is only possible to transfer money TO Thailand from Sweden - and not the other way around.

The easiest way to send small amounts of money o.seas is by getting a Thai to fill in the paperwork expecially if they have a business name(or access to one). Takes 15 minutes and the T/T rates are ok. They dont like farangs sending money back home. To a Thai its almost the same as stealing from them. Youre supposed to bring money here to sponsor your thai wife and her family.

I was under the impression that as long as you keep the documentation on inbound transfers in the past, you can use them to justify sending money back overseas? As long as I have properly documented income with a WP to support myself. . .
