HI! can any one shed light on the existance of an E,D visa and where it can be applied from? i understand that if you are married to a thai lady and also have children, then something beyond your control prevents you from having enough funds in the bank for the next 12 month visa, the E,D visa can be applied for wich offers you time to try to sort out your personal problems is this correct ?

In that situation you can get a 60 day extension from immirgaiton to season the funds in the bank.

You can also get an ED-visa, if you study at a recognized school. many people choose to study Thai language, but it can be anything as long as the school is recognized. An ED-visa is normally aplied for abroad, with documents from the school where you will be studying. Requirement is that you study at least 4 hours a week. Most extensions for studying are only for 90 days, unless you study at a university.
