1 Year Extension - Funds Delayed.

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any knowledge as to what would be the situation when renewing my 1 year marriage extension if funds were delayed?

If my funds (400K) transferred from the UK arrive late due to a mistake by my UK bank - My 2 months (where the money needs to be in the bank prior to the application) would then take me 2 weeks over my renewal period - Can I pply for a 1 month extension, then apply as normal for my extension in the normal way or would I be forced to leave?

Thanks

Being married to a Thai allows a 60 day extension from immigration without funds proof.

2.24 In the case of an alien

visiting a Thai spouse or child:

Permission

will be granted for a period of not more than 60 days at a time

(1) Proof of relationship.

(2) In the case of a spouse, their marital relationship shall be de

jure (legitimate) and de facto.

Thanks for your advice!

In effect does what you guys say about the 60 day rule - does that mean I could if I wanted just keep getting 60 day extensions indefinately rather than the 1 year extension and having to stick 400K in the bank? I never heard of this rule before, so many thanks it is appreciated.

No. One time only.

Not available back-to-back as a normal one year extension is. You would have to exit and return on another entry to extend for 60 days again and at some point it could be limited.
