I was stopped by the Police yesterday, and they said my Car Tax was out of date (which it was for whatever reason)

Anyway he gave me a piece of paper and told me to go to the local Police Station

Today I have back dated my Tax disc, and everything is in order (car was already insured I might add)

So what will the Police require? What documents? Do I need to take somebody with me? Will it be a 200 baht fine?

Happened to me a few years ago with my motorbike. I went to the LTO next day and paid the outstanding road tax plus 1% extra for being late. On the way back home I went to the police station and showed the green book there (for a car the book is blue). 200 Baht fine later everything was cleared. I put the tax due date in my mobile as an anniversary and I am reminded right in time.
