Hi all, like a lot of people I will be making a few calls on Xmas day and just wondered what the rates are for the various 001-9 numbers, or what is the cheapest way to call the UK using a DTAC sim card. Thanks in advance and Seasons Greetings to all.

Not sure about using Skype with a cell phone, I know they offer a download for smart phones-never tried it.

If your internet connection is decent, you can purchase Skype - Unlimited World for $13.99 a month - lasts 30 days and you can make unlimited calls to UK landlines.

Don't know what the Dtac rates are but with a True Inter sim card it's one baht per minute to all UK land lines. The UK mobile companies are still adding extra (rip off) charges so it costs about six baht a minute to call a UK mobile.

TOT have a special on 008 - think it is 3 baht a min to all countries.
